New roundabout among 2024 highlights for infrastructure services department

The department of infrastructure services at Lennox and Addington provided their year end update at council this week, highlighting the new roundabout at county roads 6 and 23. The roundabout is open to the public with a few small items to be completed later this year and in early 2025. 

Staff noted temporary signs within the roundabout that indicate the direction of each exit. The text is smaller than regular road signs, and they are slightly misaligned. Each issue is without major concern. The new signs, when purchased, will have larger text and will be placed correctly according to staff.

Among other projects and achievements this year for the department is the near completion of the work on Main Street in Odessa. Staff are currently preparing the 2025 budget presentations and the design of upcoming 2025 capital projects.
